Wheeler Farm

On Monday the kids were out of school, so we went to Wheeler farm with my mom and my sister and my nephew. We had never been before and the kids loved it.

This little chick had escaped from it's cage and Taylor was fascinated.

Lately Trevon won't smile for pictures. He does this "serious" face. I am a little worried because today is picture day at school. It will be interesting to see how they look.

The boys thought the old outhouse was so cool. It looks like Jackson is using it, but I promise you he is not.

Taylor, crazy sleeper!

This was taken on Sunday evening. I guess Easter was just exhausting for her, she totally crashed.

She was SOUND asleep halfway off the couch.

Easter Sunday 2008

This is easter morning before church. I have found that it is almost impossible to get a picture of all three kids where all of them look normal. I guess that is appropriate since none of them ARE normal. But that's okay with me, it's what makes life interesting. My friend Sam is a great photographer, and tomorrow we have a session scheduled for her to take pictures of the kids. I wish her the best of luck! I can't wait to see how they turn out, I have never had REAL picutres taken of the kids before. Anyways below are my, not so great, attempts.

Egg Hunt

On Saturday we had a little easter hunt at Grandma Becky's house. My nephew came to visit from New Mexico and the kids had a fun time showing him how the whole egg hunt thing works. He caught on very quickly of course.

Taylor found the coveted GOLDEN egg.

Jackson was in tears when Taylor found the golden egg. So nice Papa hid it again so Jackson could find it also. What a spoiled kid!

The Man I Love!!

I have been feeling a little guilty because, as Brian pointed out, I hardly ever have stories on my blog about him. And now after I post this he will probably be mad (because of the pictures below) but he will just have to deal with it. This post is all about the love of my life, my husband Brian. We have been married for 10 1/2 years. We have three beautiful children and a wonderful life. I don't know where I would be without Brian, he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. My friend had a cute post about her husband so I copied the questions .

What is his name? Brian

How long have you been together? On March 22 it will be the 12 year anniversary of our first date.

How long did you date? One year and four months from our first date to the day we were married.

Where did you go on your first date? A Jazz game, a forecast of my life to come.

How old is he? He is two years older than me. Although I stopped having birthdays last year, so I guess this year he will be three years older than me.

Who eats more? He does.

Who said I love you first? I don't remember, but he probably does. I think it was me.

Who is taller? Most definitely him!
Who sings better? I am not sure, we are both equally bad.
Who is smarter? By far it is him. He has the best memory. I only wish I could remember a fraction of the stuff he can remember. Things just come to him easily. He was one of those students in school who would sluff class, never do his homework, and show up and get an A- on the test and pass with a B. Not me, I would study and study and do extra work, go to class and study again, and I would get a B on the test and pass with a B. Then I week later I have already forgotten everything I studied so hard for. It just isn't fair.
Who does the laundry? Me
Who does the dishes? 90% of the time it is me. I give him a hard time because he thinks that doing the dishes is cleaning the kitchen. So when he "cleans the kitchen" I usually end up wiping the counters and stuff. (don't be mad hon, you know it's true)
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are lying in bed then it is him. If you are standing at the foot looking at it then it is me.

Who pays the bills? I do. I think it is a control issue that I have. I need to know to the penny how much money we have in the bank at all times. Brian teases that he has to have a purchase order to buy anything. (and by the way Brian, you do)
Who mows the lawn? Brian is in charge of all the yard work and he does a fantastic job. But I actually like to mow the lawn for two reasons. First I can escape the children and just listen to my ipod and get a good workout in the sun. Second, it leaves more time for Brian to spend with us while he is home. But he still does all the trimming.
Who cooks dinner? Brian cooks about two or three times a month. So I guess we cook about the same. His cooking is much tastier than mine I will admit.

Who drives when you are together? He does. I drive him crazy when I drive, I can tell because of his body language and his few comments here and there. It is just better when he is driving!
Who is more stubborn? He is for sure.
Who kissed who first? He kissed me, but he says I wouldn't let him go home until he did. (he was probably right)
Who proposed? He did. On Christmas day in 1996. He had me fooled, I was not expecting to get a ring for Christmas. That was one of the best Christmases ever!

Who is more sensitive? I think we both are. Most of you who know Brian know that he looks kind of intimidating, but inside he is very sweet.
Who has more siblings? I do. I have four sisters. He has two brothers and one sister.
Who wears the pants? I like to let him think he does, but it is really me.

I LOVE YOU BRIAN!!!

Crazy Tay

We had such a fun day playing at the zoo it totally wore Taylor out. I found her in her room like this asleep. That could not have been comfortable.

Yesterday Taylor's room was a complete disaster. It was bad. There were toys everywhere, she had pulled every shirt she owned out of her dresser. Every rubber band and hair clip she had was thrown all over her room. I mean it was a huge MESS. I told her if she wanted to go outside and play with the boys she needed to clean her room. She was up there for probably 45 minutes and then she came down with her shoes on and said "it's all clean mommy" So when I went up to check this is what I found.

It looks pretty good huh? I was pretty impressed at first.

She even tried to make her bed.

But then I found her secret she just put everything in one big pile. I don't think she put a single where it actually belonged. I guess she was hoping I wouldn't notice that huge pile of toys and clothes. Nice try Taylor!

Weinermobile

After the zoo we had to stop by Walmart to get a few things and the weinermobile was there. Total excitement! I was glad that I had my camera with me, the kids got a kick out of it especially Jackson. He thought it was the best thing ever. They got to climb inside and check it out. And they got to take home a sticker and a weeny whistle. What a way to top off an already awesome day!

What a beautiful day!

It was such a gorgeous day on Tuesday we took the kids to the zoo. We went with Jenn and Jenny. It was awesome because each of them have a season pass and with their guest passes we were able to get in for FREE. The weather was perfect and the zoo was practically empty. It was such a great day to go.

This is the infamous "mommy" gorilla. Don't ask what Jackson is doing.

Puppy Love

No, we did not get another dog. This is my sister Robin's new puppy. Her name is Bailey and she is seven weeks old. We were helping puppy sit this week while Robin and her husband were out of town in Arizona. The kids had fun playing with Bailey this week. It was nice because by the end of the day both the kids and the puppy were pretty worn out.

This is Bailey.

HUNGRY?

Taylor didn't like to leave the puppy for even a minute. So when Bailey went under the table (probably to get away from Taylor) she would follow.
If you look close you can see Taylor's necklace that she put on the puppy.
Pepsi was even playing with Bailey, shocker I know.

This was her favorite place to sleep. She would curl up in our pile of shoes in the kitchen.
